JUMP Math®

Grades 1 – 8

JUMP Math® is a curriculum-aligned classroom math program developed by John Mighton, PhD, OC, an award-winning mathematician, and best-selling author, who founded JUMP Math® (Jumpmath.org) in 2002 to give every child the opportunity to successfully learn and enjoy math and achieve their full potential.

JUMP Math® also offers an excellent structured intervention program, which the LDANR is pleased to be using to deliver an individualized tutoring program for students with a diagnosed, identified, or suspected math-specific learning disability (Dyscalculia).

Participants in the LDANR-delivered program work one-to-one with a trained numeracy tutor to build foundational math skills and computational fluency. Lessons are taught using a combination of direct instruction and engaging math games and activities.

Testimonials

“Our daughter was struggling with reading and math. We participated in Reading Rocks and JUMP. Both programs exceeded our expectations. The volunteers are fantastic and we’ve had nothing but amazing experiences. So thankful programming like this is provided in our area. Our daughter has come leaps and bounds because of these programs and the staff and volunteers.”

I just want to let you know that the online experience has been amazing. My son has been so happy and excited to participate. He really likes [the JUMP Program] and he is the one who is always waiting for his session to begin. I am so thankful with all your team and I don’t have words to express my gratitude. Thank you again for all your support.

“Thank you so much for organizing [the JUMP] program.  We really found it incredibly useful for our daughter.  The tutor was incredible, knowledgeable and built a trusting relationship with [our daughter] quickly.  We noticed [our daughter] engaging more and more with the activities.”
