New Program coming this Fall!

The Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region (LDANR) is thrilled to share that our organization has been awarded a three-year Grow grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). This generous support will enable us to expand and enhance our social support programming for youth with Learning Disabilities.
Currently, we offer a social support group, LD Student Social, for students in Grades 6-8, made possible through support from United Way Niagara. With the new Grow grant from OTF, we are excited to extend this valuable opportunity to students in Grades 9-10, beginning in Fall 2025. Additionally, the grant will allow us to introduce a new monthly social outing component for all LD Student Social participants – creating more opportunities for connection, engagement, and community building.
Applications for Fall 2025 programs will open on Monday, May 26th. We encourage all interested families to apply and take advantage of this exciting new chapter in our programming.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Ontario government with a mission to build healthy and vibrant communities across the province. Last year, OTF invested nearly $105M into 732 community projects and multi-sector partnerships. Projects aim to enhance economic well-being, foster more active lifestyles, support child and youth development, provide spaces for people to come together and connect, and create a more sustainable environment. We would like to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their continued support of the LDANR’s projects and programs. With this funding, the LDANR can continue to expand our programs to provide support for children and youth with learning disabilities in the Niagara Region.
