S.M.A.R.T Math is Back, Thanks to OTF!

The Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region (LDANR) is pleased to announce that our agency is a successful recipient of another Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) Seed grant to offer math support to children in Niagara.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario and is one of Canada’s leading granting foundations. OTF awarded more than $120 million to some 700 projects last year to build healthy and vibrant Ontario communities. www.otf.ca.

Last year, the LDANR piloted the S.M.A.R.T. Math program for children in Grades 2-3 through a Seed grant from OTF. This Seed grant will explore the same S.M.A.R.T. program for students in Grades 4-6 with suspected dyscalculia who experience math anxiety. The small-group program will be piloted at two program sites in Winter 2019, and two sites in Spring 2019. Stay tuned for more program specific details!

We would like to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for supporting this project. With this funding, LDANR can continue to expand our programs to support children with other forms of learning disabilities in Niagara.

Please help us in sharing this exciting news!
