deeg’s place‘ is a tutoring service offering one-to-one and small group instruction for adults and teens with learning disabilities, specifically geared towards improving reading and spelling.

DSBN Adult Program

The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) operates a free program for adults (18+) who have a learning disability that is available year-round. There does not have to be an official diagnoses. This is an upgrading program, not a credit course.

The program is located at three locations:

St. Catharines: The Stokes Building, 36 Page Street, St. Catharines, ON L2R 4A7

Welland: The Hope Centre, 570 King Street, Welland, ON L3B 3L3

Niagara Falls: Westlane Secondary School, 5960 Pitton Road, Niagara Falls, ON L2H 1T5

The program offers:

  • Assessment of skills
  • Assistance with reading, writing and math
  • Small group instruction
  • Links to further education and employment
  • Computer training
  • Assistance with employability skills
