ELKP – Grade 1

Reading Rocks Junior is a small-group early literacy intervention program for children struggling with their early literacy skills. Children work on foundational skills such as letter names and sounds, early sight words and printing through fun, interactive games and activities. Some one-on-one support is also provided in their area of greatest need.
COVID-19 Update:
Given the progression of the COVID-19 outbreak and the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming school year, the LDANR made the decision to continue our suspension of in-person programming. It has been determined that minimizing face-to-face interaction between our program participants, caregivers, and staff would be the best measure to ensure safety at this time.
Unfortunately, all Reading Rocks Junior (RRJ) program sites have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. Updates regarding the status of future RRJ sites will be added to this page once in-person programming resumes.
