New JUMP Math Program, Thanks to OTF!
The Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region (LDANR) is pleased to announce that we are successful recipients of a 3-year Grow grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to offer further math support to children in Niagara via the JUMP Math Program! The LDANR is currently piloting a small-group math program through an OTF Seed grant and now, with the new Grow grant from OTF, we will be able to offer an individualized math program, called JUMP Math, for students in Grades 1-8 with an identified or suspected math disability who are demonstrating math anxiety. The JUMP Math program will be offered at two sites starting in the fall of 2019, with applications opening in the spring. The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario and is one of Canada’s leading granting foundations. OTF awarded more than $120 million to some 700 projects last year to build healthy and vibrant Ontario communities. www.otf.ca. Please help us in sharing this exciting news! We would like to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their continued support of the LDANR’s projects and programs. With this funding, the LDANR can continue to expand our programs to provide support for children with learning disabilities in the Niagara Region. |
