❓Did you Know❓
Around 7️⃣0️⃣% of women have said they have missed school or work because of their period?
Although feminine hygiene products have become ‘GST-Free’, the average woman will spend $65 per year on this basic necessity. For families with more than one woman in the household, that cost can add up pretty quickly. Add this to an already hefty cost of living and a global pandemic where many are out of work, it is difficult for many women to afford this necessary hygiene item. Why should women have to choose between purchasing Feminine Hygiene products and Hand Hygiene products 🤲?

To bring an end to #PeriodPoverty,

United Way Niagara

has made the Period Promise and is asking for your support to help provide women with a feminine hygiene kit on #CommunityDayofCaring. Over your lunch hour on May 12th, you can attend a webinar about Period Poverty in Niagara and then make period kits for those in Niagara unable to afford period products.
