Partnerships

LDANR would like to thank our partners for their continued support!

PrintLDANR partners with both the Child and Youth Studies and Education Departments at Brock University to research the efficacy of our programs. Brock University also hosts our Reading Rocks program.

 

NCNiagara College hosts our summer S.L.A.M. program in Welland. The LDANR also partners with Niagara College to offer meaningful internships to Niagara College students including Human Resources and Event Management internships.

 

ncdsb-logo-480The Niagara Catholic District School Board (NCDSB) provides us with the use of their classrooms for our after-school programs at a low cost. We also have an LDANR representative on the NCDSB Special Advisory Committee (SEAC).

 

 

DSBN_LogoThe District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) provides us with the use of their classrooms at a cost to offer our after-school programs throughout the course of the school year. We also have an LDANR representative on the DSBN Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC).

 

 

St.JohnsTherapyDogs-1St. John’s Ambulance provides Therapy dogs to LDANR programs Reading Rocks and S.L.A.M. to provide the children with a non-judgemental audience to read to.

The YMCA partners with LDANR for our summer S.L.A.M. program where they provide our St. Catharines site with a recreational instructor.

Speech Services Niagara provides LDANR’s Reading Rocks Jr. program families with emergent literacy workshops.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to provide resources and support to individuals who are affected by learning disabilities within the Niagara Region. We provide leadership in learning disabilities advocacy, research, education and services, and advance the full participation in society of children, youth and adults with learning differences.
