**Important Information for Facilitators/Instructors

  • Mandatory Training: All new and returning facilitators/instructors are required to attend mandatory training
  • Mandatory Vulnerable Sector Checks: All facilitators/instructors must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) less than a year old. To apply for a PVSC you must bring two pieces of government identification to the police station. If you are not a resident of Niagara, but have a temporary Niagara address, you must also bring with you proof of current local address. A facilitator/instructor PVSC costs $45. For more information on applying for a PVSC, click here. Please note, it usually takes weeks for a vulnerable sector check to be processed, so don’t wait!
  • Mandatory completion of Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) training module – Working Together: The Code and the AODA (click here to access).
  • Mandatory completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps training module (click here to access).

We provide leadership in learning disabilities advocacy, research, education and services, and advance the full participation in society of children, youth and adults with learning differences.
