Ryan went from a child who would throw his book across the room while yelling, “I hate reading, I hate books, I’m so stupid” each time we sat down to read…to asking about reading, talking about what book was going to be read at night together, anticipating how many chapters he would make it through and being so excited to receive a book as a special surprise. What a difference! …Since then, Ryan’s confidence in himself has increased dramatically. “Sometimes I find him dancing, singing, “I’m so smart, I’m so great”…  The program has given us the start we need to build Ryan’s confidence and get set on the right track for him to continue to love school.” *Names have been changed.

Families contact LDANR in hopes of finding support for their child who struggles with a learning disability/ADHD. LDANR offers programs to support these children with their literacy and/or social-emotional skills. To offer these programs at a minimal cost, however, LDANR relies on grants, donations, and sponsorships. With your support, we can continue to maintain and expand our programs to reach more children living in Niagara with learning disabilities.
